BRIGHTON CREEK’S 2008-09 CALENDAR OF EVENTS UPDATE (Revised Nov. 13 ’08)

DEC 12-14 – “BAHA’I BASICS -  A course for new believers”.  Come study about the things you need to know as a new Baha¢i, the Eternal Covenant of God, the Life of Baha¢u¢llah, love and unity in the Baha¢i community, Baha¢i meetings and the Nineteen Day Feast, the significance of contributing to the Fund, and teaching the Cause. Assemblies are encouraged to support new believers in their communities to attend this course.  $85 per person.  Family rate available.  Course begins Friday night at 6pm with dinner and orientation and ends on Sunday at 3pm.  Children¢s classes available.

DEC 14 – “ MEMORIAL – COUNSELLOR REBEQUA GETAHOUN MURPHY” - 3 PM  - Whomever would like to come and share prayers and stories of our beloved Counsellor who passed away to the Abha Kingdom at age 55.

DEC 20-28 – “CLARA DUNN ACADEMY” – Study of Dawnbreakers and other essential books.  Early registration is necessary as course fills up fast!  It is a favorite among the youth!  Adults are also welcome. Cost: $400. Register at www.claradunnacademy.org. Must be 15 yrs. or older.

DEC 31 – “NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY” – A Fun(d) Raiser - starting at 8 PM until midnight.  Come and enjoy fellowship, fun and games for all including children, dancing, hat decorations contest and lots of fun and laughs, etc.   An optional overnight with New Year’s Day Brunch.

JAN 9-11TH  – “[BA] ECONOMY: FOUNDATION OF HUMAN PROSPERITY” – We are happy to offer an exciting course facilitated by Alex Mazloom - Today, almost everyone around the globe is either affected or concerned about the current status of world economy. While there are various ideas on what went wrong and who is to blame, powerful words from Baha'u'llah and Abdu'l-Baha lead us to individual's responsibility about finances:
